CREATIVE ART DESIGN HUMOR
Hello and thank you for for taking the time to read to read my bio.
I have known all my life that I love to draw funny pictures. I believe it all became official when my second grade teacher actually wrote on my report card that "Sean spends too much time drawing cartoons when he should be doing his work." This just fueled my fire and let me know I was on the right track to become a true professional cartoonist by being paid five cents to draw cartoon sheep for all the kids in my I was soon drawing cartoon sheep for milk money during middle school. Then in high school, I took my first and last art class.
Yes, I have never had any formal training. I just kept copying Mad Magazine cartoons and drawing on any surface I could. However, it all paid off when I was asked to draw editoroial cartoons for The State Press while attending Arizona State University. Yes, they paid me. It was as the editrial cartoonist at The State Press where I learned about true professionalism, deadlines, news, print, and how to illustrate ideas in a simple, humprous way.
Upon graduation, I became a freelance cartoonist for any publication that would have my work. I also began to pick up cartoon illustration gigs for companies and individuals.
And so this is what I have been doing for the last 25 years. I have been published in a plethora of magazines and newspapers such as Mad Magazine, The Saturday Evening Post, Illinios Medicine, Sun Magazines and many more. My paintings are hanging in such venues at The Star Theater, Four Seasons, The Los Abrigados just to name a few. I have 13 published cartoon collections and I have illustrated many books for many clients.
I would love to help you with your cartoon illustration needs.
